AEON
Run time: 25:57
Isabella, a life philosopher, loses her boyfriend Tyler to the charming Nurse Pretty after a sudden car crash sends him to a nearby hospital. Blending perceptions with reality, Isabella uniquely deals with Nurse Pretty winning the reluctant Tyler over. As Isabella gains acceptance of the situation, clues to the accident and the forces behind it slowly emerge to reveal answers that only Isabella can truly believe.

Chris Garcia (no relation), film critic for the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas had this to say about AEON:

I liked [AEON] quite a bit. It's beautifully shot, paced and edited. The acting is strong. I dug the elliptical and vaguely experimental feel of it and the voice-over strategy is compelling.

My favorite segment might be the flashiest: the street-night/street-signal beat montage, and what it represents in the story. At first, I thought it was going on too long, but the editing rhythm and the underlying meaning of the scene make it work superbly.

For some reason, the picture reminded me of Hal Hartley's work -- gnomic and dreamy, but without Hartley's deadpan humor.

I sure hope you enter it into the Austin Film Festival and/or SXSW.

Best of luck. Very nice work.
